What to bring
Bring photo ID and your insurance card. The team can verify your eligibility in-office. If you'd rather pay cash, there's a flat rate (see below).
Pricing
We accept most major insurance carriers. If you're not in-network or prefer to pay cash, the rates below apply. Any additional procedures are quoted before they're performed — you won't be surprised by a bill.
Cash pay
Office visit with a Southern Dermatology provider — examination, diagnosis, and treatment plan for the issue you came in for.
Add-on
If the team performs a biopsy or removes a mole or skin lesion during your DermNow visit, the procedure adds $150 to the visit fee.
Add-on
Injection of an acne cyst or other inflamed lesion. We'll let you know before any procedure is performed so you can decide.
Insurance
We file with Aetna, United Healthcare, Medicare, Humana, Cigna, Tricare, BCBS (GA, TN, AL), Kaiser, AARP, Mutual of Omaha, and Wellcare Medicare. You're responsible for verifying your in-network status; the team can help in-office.

Common
A new lump, or an existing cyst that's become red, warm, or painful.

Any rash that wasn't there yesterday or last week — including itchy, scaly, or spreading rashes.

A bump, mole, or skin lesion that has changed in size, shape, color, or texture.

Sudden flaking, itching, redness, or pain on the scalp.

Skin tags that have become inflamed, twisted, or caught on clothing or jewelry.

Removal of a simple mole or growth — clean, well-tolerated, minimal scarring.

Minor cuts or injuries that need a few sutures — we can clean, close, and dress the wound.
Not a DermNow visit
DermNow isn't for everything. The categories below are best handled elsewhere — either at an emergency room, or through a scheduled appointment with our regular dermatology practice.
