Pricing

In-network insurance,
or cash pay.

We accept most major insurance carriers. If you're not in-network or prefer to pay cash, the rates below apply. Any additional procedures are quoted before they're performed — you won't be surprised by a bill.

Cash pay

$150 · Standard visit

Office visit with a Southern Dermatology provider — examination, diagnosis, and treatment plan for the issue you came in for.

Add-on

$150 · Biopsy or lesion removal

If the team performs a biopsy or removes a mole or skin lesion during your DermNow visit, the procedure adds $150 to the visit fee.

Add-on

$75 · Injection

Injection of an acne cyst or other inflamed lesion. We'll let you know before any procedure is performed so you can decide.

Insurance

In-network billing

We file with Aetna, United Healthcare, Medicare, Humana, Cigna, Tricare, BCBS (GA, TN, AL), Kaiser, AARP, Mutual of Omaha, and Wellcare Medicare. You're responsible for verifying your in-network status; the team can help in-office.

Not a DermNow visit

Some things need
a different door.

DermNow isn't for everything. The categories below are best handled elsewhere — either at an emergency room, or through a scheduled appointment with our regular dermatology practice.

Go to the Emergency Room

Call 911 or head to the ER for:

  • ·Rashes with shortness of breath or lip/tongue swelling
  • ·Rashes with systemic symptoms — fever, chills, swollen lymph nodes, irritated eyes/mouth/genitals, or generally feeling unwell
  • ·Large burns or major injuries

Schedule a regular appointment

Book with our regular practice for:

  • ·Annual skin checks
  • ·Changing lesions with a history of skin cancer
  • ·Infants less than 1 year old
  • ·Management of chronic skin conditions (rosacea, psoriasis, eczema)
  • ·Autoimmune skin conditions
